Vases and Buds

 

I am not for one second pretending thatI have any talent or expertise in the art of flower arranging. All I possess is a love of flowers. I love filling my house with those cheap bouquets because they make me happy. My favorite place to buy flowers  is my local Trader Joe's. They have some great inexpensive bouquets that I like to mix and match. I also love buying my gourds from their awesome hordes of gourds selection. I tend to get most of my flower gifts there as well. The first thing I do when I get my flowers home is rush to put them in the same three vases I always seem to gravitate to. Once I get them in, then I will primp a little but I don't go all out. I wouldn't know where to start and I honestly don't care all that much. I am happy just to have their cheery brightness in my home.

 

I am however, a stickler for changing the water, getting rid of dead leaves, and cutting and recutting the stems to make them last as long as possible.

 

My favorite flower is the Gerbera Daisy. I love the colors and these are the happiest flowers I know. They are a bit delicate but TJ's now includes a stem holder on each flower so their heads don't droop. Brilliant!
